CURIOUS
|
If you have come to my dog Buffer's web site, then you are hopefully curious about ISDN or DSL's in general. You may wonder why all phone lines aren't digital already, and you may wonder what the heck a small
dog is doing hosting a web site about telecommunications in the first place. Here are some answers: 1. The telephone network, or PSTN, is almost completely digital already--the only part that is still analog is the wire (s) from the phone company to your house, called the Local Loop. 2. Dogs have always been an important part of telecommunications. Just about every telecommunications system I have ever worked on is controlled by a watchdog timer.
